Had my first C section in 2017 , 2nd in the beginning of 2023, and now having my 3rd in may of 2024 coming soon. Hes always been great, staff is great. Sometimes you have to call a few times but if you don’t get through leave a message and they get back to you the next day sometimes the same day. Of course they’re busy taking medicaid but i never had to wait too long. I feel like all the bad reviews and complaints are people that don’t understand patience. I live out of town now and even when I'm a few minutes late they get me in perfectly. Ive been in the waiting room with multiple patients and still they've never took longer than 30 minutes. Usually I'm in and out. They ask if you prefer to see Dr Gratkins or the nurse Laura, i always said it didn’t matter to me cause most patients would want to see Dr Gratkins. Since my sons father hasn’t had a child before and this is my 3rd I asked to see Dr Gratkins the past few appointments til birth so he would know who’s going to be doing my surgery and stuff. Overall i love both Laura and Dr Gratkins they’re both amazing at what they do!

I have been going to Dr. Gratkins office for over 17 years. He always listen to my concerns and issues and addresses them in ways I understand, if I don't understand he works hard to explain in ways I would understand. I have seen various staff come and go but the few staff that has been there throughout my 17+ years are the staple of the office. I can understand where people can see the office as disorganized as new NPs and office staff rotate through the office, but if advocating for yourself the staff gets 100% of what needs done done. I have dealt with communication breakdown throughout the office and sometimes things are disorganized due to them waiting for 3rd party results, insurance, and things in that nature. Sometimes the wait time feels extra long, but it is a Dr's office and things do happen with previous patients that may take precedents over why you are there. The only other complaint I have is the limited office hours, but I make that work. All in all I love Dr. Gratkins and his staff.

I love Dr. Gratkins & had a great experience with him and his office. They are busy, but that’s because they handle most of the Medicaid patients in town! I hate seeing all these bad reviews because people often believe things they only have heard from others and do not get their own experiences. Dr. Gratkins delivered my baby and did a great job. His nurses and office team treated me with nothing with kindness and respect. I was nervous to have a male OBGYN at first, but I am so glad I chose him! And you should too!

This was by far the WORST OBGYN I have ever experienced. He failed to diagnose me with gestational diabetes. I had to find out by switching doctors, also was given the wrong due date by this doctor. He told me I was a whole month more pregnant than I actually am. Not to mention the receptionist never answer the phones, so when you need to reschedule they throw a 25$ fee at you but it wasn’t even your fault. Every time I have gone to this office which was only about 2 or 3 times they have an infant sitting behind the receptionist desk. When I have gotten calls from them asking for my 25$ all you hear is a baby babbling in the back. How is that professional at all? I would highly suggest not going to this OBGYN. It’s a few months later and they still call me for 25$ for missing an appointment when they failed to answer the phone when I called to cancel and let them know I was switching my doctor.

I've had Dr. Gratkins for an obgyn for about 3 years. His staff is incredibly friendly and they do a wonderful job. He has always had a great bedside manner and has listened to my concerns.

My daughter was born in January 2021, she was born with a tumor that gratkins failed to diagnose, probably because he ignored my concerns, this was my 3rd pregnancy and I was having headaches and lots of swelling which didn't happen to me before. He told me it was normal, after looking into symptoms of my daughter's tumor in mom, headaches and swelling. They lost several ultrasounds, told me other women's very sensitive, upsetting test results, lost blood work and changed my appointments without my knowledge then charged me for missing them. This was my 3rd c section, it was ROUGH and traumatic, he "joked" about leaving scissors inside of me, moments after delivering my baby who had very obvious physical problems, "count the scissors twice, I like to leave them inside of people."
Avoid this place at absolutely all costs! My daughter was lucky to survive and the ONLY thing his office did was call me to ask about the missed appointment fee, an appointment they set, didn't tell me about and I missed because I was in Champaign with my daughter while she had a tumor removed from her tailbone.
These people are dangerous and not fit to treat a rat. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Charged $100 after insurance for a televisit that I did not schedule. Recieved a call to discuss results that I had already reviewed. It is fradulant and plan to contact my insurance company. Spoke to staff several times. They are rude and lack customer service. Do not recommend!!
