I got a little worried reading some of the reviews on Dr. Acevedo, but I found her, and the guys in the front office, to be extremely professional and friendly. Dr. Acevedo took her time, and explained things very well. She expressed a lot of concern conducting an EMG and NCV on me, but I don't have an issue with needles. But she still consistently asked how I was doing. She was very thorough in her exams. I would highly recommend this office.

As soon as I came into her practice she was very attentive and new exactly what to do.
She also went outta her way to deal with my insurance company which didn't want to pay for medication I desperately needed & because Dr. Acevedo was diligent and Persistent my insurance company ended up agreeing to do so.

Dr. Valerie Acevedo and her office staff are WONDERFUL. I started seeing her to address my migraines and she was attentive from the start. She was very patient with trying different medication until we found one that worked best for me. Her office staff also took on the battle with my insurance when we finally found something that worked for me, but insurance decided to decline it. Because of this my medication got approved and my migraines happen less frequently. I finally have some much needed relief.

Dr Valerie is a shining example of what a medical professional should be. She actually listens, she always has time. The office staff is very professional and and friendly. I've never had problems with appointment accomodations or prescription refills. I highly recommend her, I feel like she's saved my tail more than once.

Dr. Acevedo and her assistant Stephan are absolutely fantastic! Together they provide a top-notch, dedicated, intimate neurology practice. I never have trouble getting an appointment. They always answer the phone. They're heros in navigating the countless challenges of medication prior authorizations. And, most of all, they listen and care!

Reading the negative reviews on here disappoint me and definitely do not attest to who Dr. Acevedo is. I have been to too many doctors looking for answers, and more importantly, to find a doctor I can TRUST. She has been nothing but open and kind while assessing the issues and correcting them properly. She will be very serious on how to take medications and makes strict rules accordingly because she doesn't want people abusing medications(SHE CARES). To me, this is the perfect doctor. She is very smart and I trust her %100. Also to note, she has referred me to some of the best doctors in the country to help fix other issues I have and I've had nothing but accelerated progress. I owe so much to her and I'm very thankful.

I absolutely disagree with the above rating and comments and I'm sure there is another side of that story.

Dr. Acevedo is one on the most kind and caring doctors I have had...and I've had ALOT in my life. She intelligent, responsive, helpful. She gets the job done and never gives up on her patients. She finds out the truth behind her patients health issues (without just pumping you full of drugs) and follows up with YOU periodically to see how you are doing.

She will always work with you on insurance/cost. In fact, her only real goal is to help you get better. Doctor/patient is a relationship is a two way street! She definitely puts care and compassion in her treatments and wants to make a difference. See for yourself and you'll know.

This was my first visit to Dr. Acevedo. She was patient, kind and caring. She spent an hour reviewing my symptoms and helping to alleviate them. We discussed having an MRI to rule out causes. We even talked about our love of pets and how her son is looking for another cat. I like animal people. This doctor is amazing!
